This
natural compound has been shown in more than 15 double-blind controlled clinical
trials to maintain more desirable levels of cholesterol, including total
cholesterol, HDL cholesterol,
and LDL cholesterol. Policosanol inhibits the oxidation of LDL and has
beneficial actions on cardiovascular capacity, platelet function, and eicosanoid
balance. Derived from sugar cane wax, policosanol is a mixture of aliphatic
alcohols including 1-octacosanol, 1-triacontanol, and others. Studies show between
10 to 20 mg daily of policosanol extract produces benefit.
Suggested Use: 1 or 2 capsules daily
